Led Zeppelin - 'Led Zeppelin III' vinyl LP - Atlantic 2401 002.
Led Zeppelin's third album from 1970.
Side 1: Immigrant Song Friends Celebration Day Since I've Been Loving You Out On The Tiles
Side 2: Gallows Pole Tangerine That's The Way Bron-Y-Aur Stomp Hats off to (Roy) Harper
Vinyl: The LP has been carefully cleaned and tested on headphones. It plays very well throughout, with no issues. There are no skips or jumps, only some minor background sound on the quiet or silent sections. The vinyl has just one very light mark on side one which does not affect play, otherwise the disk is unmarked. This disc is very close to EXCELLENT, but I will conservatively grade it as VERY GOOD+. The album has been in my collection for around 15 years, and has only been played by myself three times (I have another playing copy). It was bought as an 'archive copy'.
Dead Wax: Side 1: 15A 'Do what thou wilt' Side 2: 12 13 'So mote it be'
Labels: Both plum Atlantic labels are clean and bright with no marks or spindle wear - they look like new.
Inner sleeve: The inner poly-lined sleeve is in good condition, but has some yellowing and marking with age. It is very solid with only minor creasing. One the front bottom right corner are the figures '0970' suggesting September 1970, the month before this album was released.
Outer sleeve: The outer laminated gatefold sleeve is in very good condition, with just some partial yellowing of the white sections to the front and rear. There is no significant creasing, and only some very small superficial marks which are almost impossible to see. The inner gatefold is exceptionally good, with just some faint yellowing of the white sections and again some barely visible marks. The spine is very solid with no obvious wear at all. The laminate is fully intact but it shows some 'veining' on the bottom right hand corner and a little on the rear. The revolving wheel is fully intact and works perfectly. This is still the best sleeve I have ever personally seen on an ORIGINAL 'Led Zeppelin III'.
A good quality clear plastic cover is also included.
A very nice example of Led Zeppelin's 'pastoral' album.
