Description




An original 1st issue of PG on the UK Swan label from 1975. Matrix A4/B4/C1/D1. Please note that none of the labels exhibit the Warners logo in the perimeter text and this is indicative of 1st issue. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover with die-cut windows and the Culderstead address on the rear. There's also also the white lyric internal sheet and both heavier card inner sleeves. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen reasonably light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes with excellent clarity. A very fine player with little to complain at. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All I could detect were a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. Then the one deviation is a momentary burst of distortion at the start of 'Trampled Under Foot' - for about one second. Over as soon as it happens and is a very minor issue against what is actually four sides of, quite frankly, excellent audio.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and the die-cut windows look, for the most part, very nice and unworn. Please note, however, just below and left of the band's name [on the front] there's a rip between the window and the top edge [two inches]. This rip has been successfully repaired/secured using tape and consequently doesn't stand out too much. The rear looks in excellent condition and exhibits much less surface wear than you usually tend to find. There's some edge wear particularly right at the top of the spines and then a bit a long the bottom edge. Other than that it looks pretty respectable with the text on the spine being fully legible for once.
Inners (Ex/Vg+) One inner has no splits. And one has a two inch side edge split.
Insert (Vg) A bit aged and grubby, but acceptable.
