1968 UK 1st STEREO PRESSING

**LAMINATED MONO COVER**

This rare and excellent 1968 first stereo pressing is on the UK dark green Apple/Track label: 613012 (SAPCOR 2)
Both labels carry the complete track listing, 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Apple Records...' rims
There is no tax/price code visible on either label.

Housed in a laminated MONO cover printed by 'Technink limited' with the text on the 'frontal' panel.
Complete with its original matt black 'single-hole' inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: SAPCOR 2A-1 & SAPCOR 2B-1
Stamper numbers: 1/GR & 1/GM

Labels: NEAR MINT

Visual: EXCELLENT

The surfaces are bright and glossy bearing only one small (5mm) surface mark on side 1 and some feint sleeve removal marks.
The side 1 run-in small dull blemish from manufacture, however none of these visual faults affect sound or play.
Pressed on thick quality vinyl with sharp edges which is 100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.

Audio: NEAR MINT

This copy has clearly only been played only a few times and sounds 'as new' with no audible wear whatsoever.


Cover: VERY GOOD

This extremely rare laminated mono cover is contructed from thin card but has survived well.
There is some minor discolouration to the edges and some laminate damage towards the spine (front side only) but the main images are clean, white and unmarked.
Due to the thin card used, a slight disc impression is visible but there are no creases or writing.
The corners and opening edges are in fine shape with no tears or major signs of wear and the spine and all seams are intact, unstressed and unsplit.
