Rather rare and obscure deep Waterhouse Rub a Dub. Collector business this. A deep and heavy Rub a dub rhythm, credited to Black Roots band, but could very well be the Radics. The intriguingly named artist, obviously very obscure, sings in a Waterhouse style similar to Jr Reid. The topic is also intriguing, but the lyrics are fairly conscious for a Rub a Dub cut. Wicked piece of deep Rub a Dub, on original JA 7”, not in perfect condition, but music plays strong.
The records listed have all been used in their time, so conditions will vary from near perfect to some deterioration in sound. Also, different record players will accentuate or reduce the effect of wear & tear: these sound samples have been taken from a high quality Project deck, you can expect them to sound significantly better on lesser quality decks.

Little-known dancehall singer Lionel Barrett started out as a member of Sugar Minott's Youth Promotion collective before scoring a couple of minor (emphasis on minor) hits -- OK, maybe they weren't exactly hits -- in the early '80s with "Rasta Cowboy" and "No Follow Rumors." (…) early dancehall cuts backed deftly by the Roots Radics.
