Lou Donaldson Quintet - "Swing and Soul" / Blue Note, BLP 1566, 1957 / Mono, 12", 33 1/3 / BN-LP-1566-A P 9M RVG; BN-LP-1566-B P 9M RVG / 47 West 63rd NYC (labels); 47 West 63rd St., New York 23 (sleeve) 

A handsome and very decent sounding copy of this Donaldson '57 release.  All the earmarks of an original pressing (the term "first pressing" is problematic): "RVG" and the Plastylite "P" in the deadwax; the West 63rd address to the label and neither "Inc" nor "R" thereto.  An appealing offering.
