Description
MACHITO & HIS ORCHESTRA Kenya afro Cuban jazz COLUMBIA LP Mono 33SX 1103!
Original scarce UK LP with laminated sleeve, released in 1958, on the COLUMBIA label. Catalogue number: 33SX 1103 (Mono?).
Matrix Numbers read:
A-side: RLP 11A-IN
B-side: RLP 11B-IN
Sleeve: GOOD CONDITION
Sleeve suffers from some wear, displays cello tape and cello tape traces on/along the spine’s and the bottom edge, small cello tape trace mark on the back, which was used to repair a 4cms sleeve tear near to the record insert edge. Sleeve has some record sleeve ring wear and some small partial missing pieces of laminate and some partial laminate lifts, basically looks a little tatty and a touch grubby, but still presentable, overall graded as in GOOD condition. Record comes with a replaced late 1960’s style Decca paper/poly lined inner sleeve, which is in EXCELLENT condition.
Record: VERY GOOD CONDITION (*Plays mostly EXCELLENT to VERY GOOD+)
Record labels are in NEAR MINT condition, clean appearance with no label damage and no visible spindle hole trail marks on both sides, XT label stampers on the A-side are intact. Playing surfaces and matrix areas retain a glossy sheen, displays no distinct or visibly striking surface marks, however there are some small/medium mostly barely visible, smooth soft, feather light surface scuffs/marks which are mainly fine line/hairline types, and predominantly only show up/appear when angled and viewed closely under a strong bright light, graded visually as in VERY GOOD condition. *Record plays mostly EXCELLENT to VERY GOOD+ both sides, play fine but does have some intermittent low/medium background surface noise mainly evident in between tracks and the quieter music passages, however the record is more than suitable for listening/playing and surface noise is definitely not overbearing or drowns out the music to any great degree.
