All records are graded to the Record Collector Guidelines, with extra information added as required when play tested. Also all photos above are of the exact record you will receive if successful.

This record is in good+ condition. It does have spindle marks visible on the labels, but no pen marks or any other damage. As for the vinyl itself, both sides have lots of light marks visible in normal light, but nothing really deep or sinister. The record has no serious nasty scuffs or bizarre blemishes and is perfectly flat.

I play tested the record and it plays well. As I say it lays completely flat with no storage warp, and there is no movement in the record arm. The sound produced is very good. It has no serious issues such as skips, jumps or hissing, and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole play test. The stand out issues that I picked up on were as follows:

- Cracking between songs and in the run in/out.

- 1 pop at the beginning of track 2 on side 1.

- A mild crackle through the softer parts of the soulful song 'A Fool For You' (track 3, side 1).

- A series of 10 clicks, 20 seconds into track 1 on side 2, which are just audible over the audio, but not overly loud and by no means disastrous. Theses are caused by a small 3mm mark which can be felt when you move your finger over it.

I grade and test all records on my personal system which is of decent quality(SME 3009 Tonearm, Ortofon Stylus and Technics Deck). The above results were noted whilst testing on this system. However I then tested again on another system, which although decent is more of your standard system( Pioneer pl-210-ii, with Ortofon cartridge but generic stylus). This system didn't pick up almost any interference during the audio, the pop, and only 5/6 of the clicks, and these were faint!

So to conclude I have to say the record doesn't look the prettiest(as an avid vinyl collector myself, I always try to get glossy, spotless, records, which I can stare into and lose myself in!), but despite the marks it plays remarkably well, with great punchy ranges of frequency and sharp vocals. I don't want to make the record sound immaculate, as I think we have gathered that it isn't, but I also don't want to make it sound like a disaster as the sound quality is far from this. I think this is one of the hardest grades and listings yet!

Phew,

The sleeve should be easier to grade, and I think it falls into the very good bracket. It does have slight wear to the edges and corners(pics), but all writing along the spine is legible. All the edges are strong with no splits, or weak areas where splits are developing. It has no tears or scuffs anywhere, but there is a small pen mark on the back in the top right corner(pics), around the stereo/mono indicator hole. There is also ring marks showing on both sides, with the back suffering worst with some fading in patches. The laminated front suffers from creasing all round, but mainly around the right hand side area. So overall it does show use and is graded in line with this, but is also over 45 years old, and so taking this into consideration is solid for its age.

Please study the photos well to gain as much information as possible, and if there are any other angles you wish for then please let me know and I will be happy to provide these.

It also includes its red inner, which is in fair condition, with creasing, pen marks and discolouring. I will therefore send in a clean, plain white replacement.

The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a clean plastic outer and within 24hrs of receiving payment to ensure swift delivery.

I hope my photos are comprehensive enough but if you have any questions at all then don't hesitate to contact me. Also please check my Ebay feedback for a positive history of record grading, A1 communication and quick delivery times. I can also provide an audio clip of the record if you wish. Just ask for this and I will be happy to provide.

As I have said this was a hard record to grade, and so of course as with all my records a full refund is available if not 100% satisfied. I also offer to cover return postage costs, so if you are not 100% satisfied then you are not hit in the pocket!

All offers are considered and are more than welcome.

Many thanks for looking and Happy Ebaying!
