May Blitz - UK Vertigo Swirl LP
1970 UK original LP recorded on swirl label. Gatefold sleeve with swirl inner sleeve. Catalogue number 6360007. Matrix numbers: side one 6360007 1Y//1 111 side two 6360007 2Y//1 121
Record Condition: NEAR MINT . Just the lightest trace of the record having been removed from it's inner sleeve and then only visible under bright, angled light. The labels on both sides are very clean with no writing or stains. I found three or four very light spindle traces on each label when using a magnifier and bright angled light, but these are almost invisible to the naked eye.
Sleeve Condition: Excellent+. The unlaminated gatefold sleeve exhibits no shelf wear at all. The spine is completely straight and uncompressed with all text clear and legible. The opening edge of the sleeve is also straight and uncreased. The inner of the gatefold is perfect, near mint. I found one small rub mark on the rear of the sleeve close to the centre of the creatures' chest, and one very light crease which is hardly noticeable. The matt finished sleeve shows a minimal amount of very light discolouration in some of the white areas of the outer gatefold, again this is hardly noticeable and I'm being ultra critical in my description. The original 1970 swirl inner is in excellent condition with hardly any fading and just a few light creases.
Audio Grading: I play grade records fully using a high quality moving coil cartridge. This LP plays superbly with strong, distortion free sound. Apart from an initial crackle on the run-in groove, both sides of this LP play with a near faultless clarity. This is certainly one of the best Vertigo albums.
Records are graded to Record Collector Grading System definitions.
Packing: All records are cleaned on a professional quality record cleaning machine and placed into a new poly-lined inner sleeve. The original inner will be included. Record covers are put into a pvc outer sleeve and the record removed from the cover to prevent seam splits. The record will be posted in a new cruciform record box with additional stiffeners.
