M.B.T'S SOUND / TIA LOKOLO ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by M.B.T's. Original French pressing on MB SOUND label (MBS.07), from 1977. Outstanding afro funk double-sider from an ultra-obscure group from French Cameroon (?) Both sides are killer with a massive horn section and James Brown influenced funk sound. Think El Rego / Geraldo Pino / Rail Band etc with raw and aggressive rhythm section. Holy grail item with the few european dealers and serious funk collectors who know this one. Great for DJs. Our soundclips opens with the super-infectious TIA LOKOLO theme with heavy congas / spiritual jazz horns / breaks and beats. Amazing drum skills, especially the thunderous break-beats over the closing bars. The M.B.T'S SOUND side is also superb. More psychedelic sounding with vocal shouts and deep guitars. Superb sleeve artwork showing the group leaders. Very rare 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition with some light scuffs and hairlines. Booming production sound. Light surface noises. The textured picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition with light wear. Some corner wear front bottom left and some edge wear in places (mostly to top seam). Very rare 45!!!
