Description
Artist: JOSEPH SZIGETI, violin. LONDON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, conducted by Herbert Menges
Title: “Brahms Concerto in D Major”
Label: MERCURY LIVING PRESENCE. Stereo pressing on medium weight vinyl. Label is burgundy with silver text, with deep groove. Catalog number is SR90225.
Matrix numbers:
Side One: FR 1
Side Two: FR 1
Condition:
DISC: Record appears to have been likely played only one or two times judging by the pair of light small spindle trail marks and the overall appearance and sound qualities. Side 1 has some very slight abrasions which appear to have resulted from coming in contact with the inner sleeve? These appear to be merely cosmetic, as I have played the side and could hear no audible sounds or distractions – the sound is brilliant and clean. Side 2 is solid NEAR MINT with no marks or imperfections. Both sides play beautifully with awesome clarity and fidelity. Labels are clean, with the aforementioned small spindle trail marks which are evidence of approximately 2 playings. A very fine disc and excellent listening experience.
JACKET: Jacket is beautiful NM- with clean and glossy front panel. Seams and spine are excellent. Reverse has some sticker residue at the center, and small record store tag at upper right. You will be hard pressed to find one this nice!
Includes the original full-color MERCURY LIVING PRESENCE factory inner sleeve in top condition.
Track Listing:
Side One:
- Allegro non troppo
Side Two:
- Adagio
- Allegro giocoso, ma non troppo vivace
