Description
I am an aging headbanger parting with my collection of vintage eighties metal. This Elektra-issued radio promo copy of "Fade to Black" is pressed on black vinyl. The sleeve is red and black, with the Elektra logo across top and sticker on left bottom that reads, "METALLICA "Fade to Black," before a review of the record from "The Friday Morning Quarterback" credited to Jerry Gavin and dated January 25, 1985. Below this is the serial number ED 5044. The middle label on the record features the Elektra logo on top, and band logo below center hole. Other text; "Fade to Black"; (6:56); (Hetfield, Ulrich, Burton & Hammett); Creeping Death Music (ASCAP); Vocal/LP Version; ST-ED-5042-A-AR; Produced by Metallica; From Elektra LP 60396 "Ride the Lightning"; PROMOTIONAL COPY NOT FOR SALE. The record also features the Megaforce logo to the left, below "STEREO 33 1/3 RPM." To the right, the label reads, "ED 5044; A side; (c) 1984 Elektra/Asylum Records. The exact same track ("Fade to Black") and label is featured on both sides of this record.
