Description
METALLICA "Fade To Black" Radio promo single from 1985 with the Friday Morning Quarterback (FMQB) sticker on the sleeve!
Label: Elektra
Cover condition: EX, there is a 1/2 inch start to a split on the spine. There are some minor dings on the edges, and a scuffing due to being stored in a box for over 2 decades.
Vinyl condition: The vinyl appears to have never been played. We know that is a tall order, and we hate it when people say, "My records are like new" but this one really is. Since it was a radio promo we bought in several boxes of radio promos the odds are it was listened to once, if at all.
Catalog number: ED 5044
Matrix number: STED 5042 A 2 with "masterdisk" stamp into vinyl deadwax.
Inner protective sleeve: Creases due to being fed into sleeve incorrectly back in the day.
Love that there is a date from FMQB on the front sleeve of January 25th, 1985. Fade to Black was the song that proved that true metal heads could like a "ballad". Most of the radio promo singles out there in the wild are from Master of Puppets, as Elektra was caught off guard by the success of Ride the Lightning. You might not see this LP again any time soon.
