3 Sides MINT, Like New. Side 3 is NM with small spot of inaudible, faintest 'brush' sleeve mark. Otherwise pristine all around with clear, clean sound throughout. Labels are immaculate all 4 sides.

COVER is VG+
Thin, original varnish-coat sleeve has few small spots of minor wear and small (1/4" to 3/4") edge creases. Crisp, straight edges and sharp corners; no splits.

This is an original UK pressing without country of origin printed on the sleeves or labels. The records are housed in printed inner sleeves that contain album lyrics and credits. The labels have the Vertigo swirl printed on 1st and 3rd sides.

NOTE:
Varnish overcoat 'coiled snake" artwork is present on cover, both front and back, though nearly impossible for my camera to pick up.
VERY hard cover to properly photograph! ...later editions had far more distinctly visible title and snake, printed in off-white.

Released on 12 Aug, 1991 by Elektra Records in USA and on VERTIGO in the UK, commonly known as 'the Black Album', it became the band's best-selling album, certified 16× platinum by Riaa in 2012, and has sold over 16,000,000 copies in the United States.

The snake in the artwork as well as the track "Don't tread on me" were inspired by a historical American flag, The Gadsden flag, which was designed in 1775. The cover is almost black, James Hetfield said "It was a simple black cover and you had to listen to the music. You wouldn’t be distracted by a drawing on the front."

This is the album that shifted the band from Thrash to Heavy, also it attracted people to Metal that had little or anything to do with Metallica or Metal before in their life?.?

It would be near impossible to find cleaner vinyl and labels on an original Vertigo Swirl 1st Press!
