Description
This is a very nice stereo Japanese pressing of George Solti and the London Philharmonic Orchestra performing Gustav Holst’s The Planets as issued by Mobile Fidelity (catalogue number MFQR 1-510). The record is a UHQR 200g version and was originally issued by London Records. The record is in a plain white jacket. I bought this about 20 years ago from Red Trumpet, Ltd. The record is from my personal collection and was initially cleaned on a VPI record vacuum and treated with Last Record preservative. It was re-cleaned with an Audio Desk Ultra-sonic record cleaner.
The record was recently play-graded using a Lyra Kleos cartridge on a VPI Classic IV turntable. The record is in excellent condition with only some superficial abrasion scratches from the inner sleeve and plays quietly with 11 light ticks noted on side 1 and 22 on side 2 with most occurring near the beginning of each side.
The plain white jacket is in very good condition but has some stains, wrinkles, and bends. The LP is missing the original MFSL cardboard inner sleeve protector and box for this UHQR release. I have never seen one of these UHQR releases before and have only heard that they come in a padded box.
