Greetings, Up for sale is an original copy of :  Miles Davis : Bags Groove  / PRESTIGE  LP 7109 Mono West 50th. Labels. RVG Stamps. Deep Groove on both sides.

This is a Groove Guard pressing from 1957. This is the last of the W.50th labels and the back cover notes : For free catalog send to PRESTIGE RECORDS, INC.. 447 west 50th street,new york 19, n.y. This was removed from the Bergenfield back cover slicks.

This disc is satisfactory and has a few pops or clicks here and there. no skips or bad stylus drops.. No press haze. there is some apparent groove distortion from plays, but doesn't terribly detract from overall listening.

 Looks VG++ from a glance. there are a some light spindle marks on each label. label colors are vibrant. I am grading this disc VG+. It is definatly better than any filler copy and should make a fine piece for any rare jazz collector. SoundClips and detailed LARGE photos are provided so you can decide for yourself.

The cover is very solid with no splits whatsoever. There is a small tear on front cover panel on opening edge and one indentation on top seam. spine legible and fully intact.

there are some small light h2o stains along top of back slick. slight discoloration. no ringwear. Laminate is fully intact and shiny on front cover panel. I am grading this cover a VG+. SEE DETAILED PHOTOS of Imperfections.

Catalog / Matrix #: A-Side : PRLP-7109-A there is a "D" stamped in dead wax and a scribed AB. B-Side :  PRLP-7109-B there is a "C" stamped in dead wax and a scribed AB.

RECORD GRADING:

NM (Near Mint): Like new, most likely unplayed.

VG++ (Very Good++) A record that has a few visual imperfections. Played only a handful of times or never at all.

VG+ (Very Good+) A few more surface marks than a VG++. but well taken care of and should play with very few audible imperfections.

VG (Very Good) The record will display light surface scuffs and marks. Expect some light surface noise in parts or a few clicks or pops here and there. A VG record will play with very minimal noise and will still be quite enjoyable.

VG- (Very Good-) The record may have some deeper audible scratches. There will be some clicks and pops more consistently than that of a VG record but will play without skipping.

G (Good) The record will have heavy wear and very apparent surface noise.

Records are carefully cleaned and inspected. Visual / Audio graded.
