Description

MILES DAVIS – COOKIN’ WITH THE MILES DAVIS QUINTET – PRESTIGE PR 7094 – 446 W. 50TH ST. N.Y.C – M-/EX – MONO

I regret having to end the initial auction due to my error in listing the LP, as I placed the incorrect photo in the Gallery! Dummy!! Recorded on October 26, 1956 at Van Gelder’s studio, this Prestige session features Miles Davis on trumpet, John Coltrane on tenor, Red Garland on piano, Paul Chambers on bass and Philly Joe Jones on drums. SIDE A: MY FUNNY VALENTINE and BLUESD BY FIVE. SIDE B: AIREGIN; TUNE UP and WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE LOW. The address on both the LP is 447 W. 50TH ST., N.Y.C and on the record jacket is 447 WEST 50TH STREET, NEW YORK 19, NY. On the A side is stamped RVG A, AB and on the B side is stamped RVG B, AB. This is MONO recording.

I have graded both the LP as M- and the record jacket as EX for the following reasons. The vinyl on both sides of the LP is clear of any marks. The shine remains on it as well. There is little to no wear in or around the spindle hole. The record jacket would be M- except for the remains of a very small price tag on the cover, at the right edge of the record jacket. It reads “$3.69”, which sounds like the right price at the time, but the tag is paper and pasted on. I have removed most of it, but any further attempt might damage the cover. Otherwise, it appears much like it did when it was bought. The other side of the tag is on the back of the record jacket. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.

EXCLUSION STATEMENT! eBay recently excluded the following countries for bids on vinyl records and CDs. Excluded are: Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Latvia, Thailand, Romania, Russian Federation, Vietnam, South Africa and China. If you wish to bid, please contact me through eBay and I can place your eBay ID in a list, which allows you to bid. If you are considering bidding, please do it as soon as possible as I will not be able to do it at the last minute. Once you are on the list, you will be able to bid on future auction. Thanks, Tom

PLEASE NOTE: This will be my last auction until after Labor Day in September, when I will return with more LPs. Thanks for participating in my auctions and I hope all have an enjoyable summer. I hope to see you in September. Tom

INVOICE: As this ends at 1:30 AM, EST, the Invoice will be sent out as soon as possible. If you have won other LPs and win this one, please disregard the Invoice for previously paid records. The final one will include this LP. Sorry for the delay.

PAYMENT & SHIPPING

Satisfaction guaranteed on item. I regret that the USPS has raised their prices. The LP will be well packed. Fully packed in a crush proof box, it weighs 1.8 pounds. Due to increased cost, I have to charge an additional $1.00 for packing in the crush proof box. Believe me, it’s worth it! The method of payment is PayPal. As of October 20, 2008, eBay has decided to make PayPal the only method of payment for this item! This way, eBay has you coming and going! If you are a bidder who prefers to pay by other means, I suggest that you file a complaint! I regret the inconvenience. The LP will be shipped either by Media Rate @ $2.98 or by Priority Mail @ $5.80 and up depending where you reside. Overseas bidders should consider First Class Mail International. The cost to Europe and Asia begins at $20.45 in the crush proof box. It’s worth it! USPS has hammered overseas shipping!
