Description

PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question.   OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us.  Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week.   Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable.  We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over +21,000 positive feedback.   We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support.   ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:   USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire.   All Canadian and Overseas shipping ~ Please inquire about rates. The DOORS set Morrison's poetic and often bizarre lyrical imagery against Krieger's bluesy guitar and the spiraling keyboards of Manzarek. Their chart success, however, alienated them from their original audience, who no longer considered them "underground" enough, while their concert audiences increasingly consisted of teenage girls, drawn by Morrison's sexy performing style. "Hello, I Love You" pushed them firmly into the rock mainstream.
The peculiar raw sound, surrealistic elements and Morrison's fine poetry really make this as a LP which is a genuine Doors classic ! The record begins with two catchy classic Doors love songs, which are followed by marvelous "Not to Touch The Earth", which has constantly growing aggressive chant spinning up to it's atavistic climax, containing the famous "Lizard King" phrase in it. "Summer's Almost Gone" is very mellow and surreal song, followed by the melancholy poetic winter themed, "Wintertime Love". This is very short but effective groove. "Unknown Soldier" is then a Vietnam protest song, combining ethereal and conventional pop/rock elements. There was a famous film shot for this tune, where Morrison gets shot in the impressionistic execution sequence. What's one really clever element of these early Doors albums is their style how they combine easy musical elements with more challenging and surrealistic themes, making their music accessible and interesting for very large audiences! The B-side of the vinyl starts with "Spanish Caravan", revealing the magic fingers ala Latin/folk music background of the sitarist. There are some quotations of Albenitz guitar suites, and the traditional sound gets also treated with psychedelic sound textures. "My Wild Love" is archaic Indian chant painting visions of singers dancing around the nocturnal fireside at the desert. Another love song follows, and "Yes, The River Knows" is a tune that features a strong melody, full of effective moods. “Five to One” is the group at its most forceful. To all warnings from his legions of followers to take it easy Jim shouts “No one here gets out alive!” and that he is ready and willing to trade in his hours for a handful of dimes. We didn’t know what he was talking about at the time but he was walking down a one-way street toward Dylan’s desolation row and no one could stop him. The overindulgence Jim couldn’t resist were just beginning to take its toll
