Description
Excellent, guaranteed original, 1966 two-sided Garage Rock ACETATE 45 by THE GENTLEMEN entitled "It's A Crying Shame"/"You Can't Be True" on Boyd Recording Service Records (no #). Fantastic RAW DEMO VERSION of the Monster Texas classic comped on "Pebbles" and other places. Folks, this comes right out of the drummer's closet - it doesn't come any better than this! Screaming Raw Rock & Roll at it's best - BEFORE it was tamed down and released on Vandan Records. There were only 5 copies of the acetates cut in 1966. This is the 3rd copy (the other two are in band member's possessions and won't come out! Two weeks ago the second copy I sold went for 3122! This copy has a low reserve of only $2000. As you can see in the photos, the B-side label is red, with no writing. For some reason the recording studio ran out that day in 1966 and slapped this on it. I'm including a very nice color copy of the acetate B-side label that you can put on yourself, if the winner so choses. Condition = solid VG/VG+ (light paper scuffs - plays through fine though!, LISTEN TO AN ACTUAL SOUND CLIP!). Winning bidder to add $2.50 postage in the USA.
