Description

MOZART Complete Works For Violin and Orchestra SZERYNG Philips NEAR MINT 4 x LP

Mozart, Complete Works For Violin and Orchestra.

Henryk Szeryng with the New Philharmonia Orchestra, Alexander Gibson.

Philips stereo four LP box set with booklet, 6707 011.

Red paper labels with silver print.

Individual LPs are also catalogued as 6500 035 through to 038.

Country of manufacture is not stated but presumed UK pressed, as the Patent inner sleeves are made in England and share a 1970 date with that on the record labels.

Vinyl near mint. Spider trail marks around the spindle areas indicates very few plays, and clearly the LPs have been very well cared for and carefully handled.

However, there are some warping issues. Disc two has a slight edge warp. It causes some visible cartridge movement at the beginning of the sides but not alarmingly so, and this is with my Technics cartridge set at only half weight (1.5). There is no jumping and I can detect no uneveness in the recorded sound. The final disc has a very fractional edge warp. This is marginal and only really noticeable by peering at the gap between the turntable and disc where a sliver of light is visible on rotation.

Booklet and outer box EX plus.
