Description
Prestige Bluesville 1047, "Mr/ Scrapper's Blues", from 1962. This is the trident-label vinyl from circa 1964. It plays mostly at NM with some extremely light static in some places. The jacket has strong seams, almost no corner wear, no ringwear, no bends, and no writing; it would be NM except for 1/2" to 3/4" (1-2 cm) of wear at bottom right at opening. This is almost the last recording Scrapper B. did, and it is among the best LPs in the Bluesville series; his playing is superb, and his voice, though clearly aged, remains strong. Note one of the best recordings of "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out".Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $16.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. A few record labels such as Folkways may be slightly more expensive to ship overseas. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
