Description
This auction is for rather a rare Manic Street Preachers item known simply as 'Done And Dusted'.
It was released to club DJs circa '94 as promotion for their The Holy Bible album, and as such, very few copies were pressed. What it consists of is 3 remixes (which, I hasten to add, you won't find elsewhere) by the Dust Brothers (now better known as the Chemical Brothers) of 3 Manics songs. The tracklisting is such:
- La Tristesse Durera (Sunday Social Mix)
- Faster (Cosmos Mix)
- Faster (7-11 Dub)
The catalogue number is Soul 1. The single black 12" vinyl comes in a grey card sleeve with a white paper sleeve inside it. The sleeve has one white sticker on it. I originally bought the item from the Music and video exchange in Camden Town, so as a result it's in good condition but not great condition. The item was signed by James Dean Bradfield in October 2002 - the day he played a session at the Xfm studios as part of the promotion for the Forever Delayed album. It should be noted that the diminutive frontman uttered, "Bloody hell, even I don't have one of these!" when asked to sign it. True story.
