Jean Martinon/ Vienna Philharmonic OrchestraTchaikovsky: Symphony No. 6 in B minor "Pathetique" (Decca SXL 2004 UK LP 1958) This is an original UK Stereo pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve which has an extremely thin spine. The top & bottom flipbacks have a rounded circular die-cut area at the centre. There is also a "blue border" around the text on the rear sleeve. It comes with its original polythene-lined "FFSS" company inner sleeve.The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has ED1 "wide band" Decca labels which are grooved also. They have the "Original Recordings By.." text on them. It has ZAL-4039-6E and ZAL-4040-3E matrix numbers. Sleeve: There is some mild or more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. Slight tear on the righthand side (see photo)Some light or mild laminate peeling. VG condition.Vinyl: Visually the vinyl looks Near Excellent. Just some light or very minor sleeve rubs can be seen under a strong light. EX condition. I have play tested this LP in its entirety. It plays EX overall, & Near Excellent in some places. There is some light, very mild or mild crackle in some quieter places. Therefore, I believe, that this LP would definitely benefit from a professional clean. Most of the crackle is most likely due to deep down dirt in the grooves. The labels are in near perfect condition and show next to no spindle wear. The company inner sleeve is in EX condition. There are no seam splits.
