Description

Marty Paich     The Broadway Bit    Warner Bothers 1296   stereo  Gold label

Art Pepper (as), Marty Paich (p), Jimmy Giuffre, Bill Perkins (ts),  Victor Feldman (vibes), Scott LeFaro (b), Mel Lewis (d)  etc   Recorded 1959

Gold label both sides. "RS 38283 R1/ RS 38284 R1" in runouts.  No address on back cover.  Nice true stereo recording.

Record looks M- and plays a strong VG++ with ocassional very light surface due to vinyl quality.  No scuffs or scratches. Grooves look bright and glossy.  No spindle marks.  Record looks like it has been played only a few times.  A very nice copy.

Cover is VG+ but looks better.

Front cover has only light wear and has shine. It looks good.  Back cover has moderate wear, a small stain and ring wear at top.  Moderate wear on top seam and it is split 2 inches at the pocket and untaped. Moderate wear on bottom seam with 1/4 inch heavy wear spots at the spine and pocket. Small dent, bottom of front at the pocket. Small tear at bottom of spine but rest is intact and readable.

I WILL BE RUNNING WEEKLY AUCTIONS OF 50s and 60s JAZZ LPS INC. BLUE NOTE  1500s PRESTIGE NYCs TRANSITIONS ETC. MANY WEEKS AND SOME HIGH END ITEMS TO COME.

My highest grade is M- and I rarely grade 50s or 60s records M-. Records are graded visually using the Goldmine system. M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG- etc. I play grade any potential problem areas.  I attempt to grade conservatively, listing all significant flaws. You will be satisfied.  No hassles.
