Description
I bought this album new through a radio station where I worked in the midwest back in 1983. It is on the original EPIC label and may have been played, I am not sure. The vinyl is in near-mint condition with only one light scratch and one small blemish. The cover is in mint condition - it's spline is flawless. The lyrics, printed on the sleeve, include original sketches by Michael. One side depicts "Thriller" and the other side is "The Girl Is Mine", his duet with Paul McCartney. Please refer to photos.
Increasing it's rarity is this small stamp in gold on the back:
For Promotion Only - Ownership Reserved By CBS
( I don't know why. We had to buy everything we played. )
I also have saved inside the cover, some 1984 UPI teletype reports on Michael's success at the American Music Awards, the bulletin announcing the infamous Pepsi commercial incident where his hair was set on fire, the Grammys and some other stuff, such as a team of psychologists at the University of Arizona trying to figure out why he was so popular and a psychic who predicted Michael was a "Flash in the Pan" who would soon be forgotten...
If you want to remember Michael Jackson with something truly unique, this album is for you. If for any reason you are dissatisfied, please return it for a full refund.
