Blue Note BLP 5022. Blue/White deep groove 161 Lexington Ave NYC label. Mono. USA 1953.

First pressing. RVG and ear in dead wax. Thick cover, no inner sleeve.



Graded cover/record VG+/VG+
Cover has light wear at corners and seams, no splits, tape or writing.
Record has a handful of thin surface marks, lables has spindle marks. Plays excellent with very light background noise only.

Jimmy Heath - tenor saxophone, Gil Coggins - piano, Percy Heath - bass, Art Blakey - drums

The recording was made at a point in Davis' life when he was struggling with heroin addiction,
and in his autobiography Davis remembers that he, Jimmy Heath, and Art Blakey were all very high in the studio.
But it is a great session and for a record this old - in really great condition.
