I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…

For those unfamiliar, the album version of this theme song for the film, “Head” cuts off abruptly with four drum beats.  This version has an extended ending of an extra full 30 seconds of music with a fadeout, which makes for a much better resolve to this song, I think.

Sleeve: EX.  Both sides of the sleeve have minimal white ringwear, common to these all-black, glossy sleeves.  But in this case, you have to look over the top rim of your glasses to see it clearly.  Flat and razor-sharp sleeve!  NO SPLITS.

Photos of the sleeve at an angle are to accentuate the flaws.  Please look at them closely for better illustration of their conditions.

An Excellent Colgems Company sleeve will be provided to protect your picture sleeve during shipping.

 Vinyl: VG+/EX.  Side One has one too many extremely light angel hairs to qualify as EX.  Side Two has two too few to be called VG+.  This promo did see some airplay in 1968, but the vinyl still shines with 95% new gloss!

Labels: VG/VG.  Both sides were written on with black Magic Marker.  Had they not been, these labels would have graded an easy NM.

Plates:   A1/A1.  Colgems promos were pressed in the US by RCA, and they retain all of the depth of sound quality of 1960’s RCA discs.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
