Description
This is a unusual opportunity to acquire a substantial assortment of Motown (and related label) 45s.
I'm selling these for a friend and this 'lot' is the forgotten residue of many years of collecting Motown & Northern Soul records (.....a collection long since sold).
There are approx. 550 records which break down as follows:
255 Motown, 165 Tamla, 61 Gordy, 29 Philadelphia Intrl., 26 Soul, 18 Soul City, 16 Motown Yesteryear, 3 Hot Wax, 1 VIP, 1 Ric Tic, 1 Scepter.
Includes tracks by the following artists:
Four Tops, Diana Ross, Supremes, Lionel Richie, Commodores, Jackson Five, Eddie Kendricks, Marvin Gaye & Mary Wells, Rare Earth, Rick James, Smokey Robinson, Miracles, Stevie Wonder, Marvelettes, Isley Bros., Thelma Houston, Temptations, Contours, Edwin Starr, Martha & Vandellas, Harold Melvin, McFadden & Whitehead, MFSB, Lou Rawls, 3 Degrees, O'Jays, Teddy Prendergrass, Jnr Walker, Undisputed Truth, DeBarge, Gladys Knight & Pips, Jimmy Ruffin, Laura Lee, Elgins, Al Green, 5th Dimension, Flaming Ember
These records have been lying in cardboard boxes in a garage (dry) for many years (a great many of them without sleeves) All are now sleeved, although not original/label matching).
Some have writing and or stickers on the labels, others have wear / tears.
All are in need of cleaning, however, the fidelity of the few sample 45s I've taken the trouble to clean has undoubtley improved.
There are duplicate 45s, but I can't say how many.
On the basis of the records I've re-sleeved I would grade this 'lot' as G+ to VG overall.
I am selling this 'lot' on an 'AS SEEN' basis.
I do not have a list of artists / titles etc. so please do not ask for one because I do not have the time or inclination to sort, list and grade this number of records beyond that which has been necessary in the prepartion of this listing.
Approx. total weight is 25KG. Records will be packed securely for shipping in two boxes. P&P by Royal Mail Standard Parcels will be £25.
