**HUGELY RARE NORTHERN SOUL DANCEFLOOR MONSTER*.
UNLIKE MANY SELLERS IM NOT HAPPY ABOUT USING THE TERM 'RARE' TOO OFTEN. THIS ONE IS AN EXCEPTION. IF YOURE A FAN OF NORTHERN SOUL THEN YOU WILL LOVE THIS FABULOUS SINGLE.
**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS THE VERY FIRST ORIGINAL UK PRESSING RELEASED IN 1965 AND FEATURING THE SILVER TEXT ON BLACK ATLANTIC LABELS. THIS RELEASE AND IS HARD TO FIND ESPECIALLY IN THIS PLAYGRADED CONDITION. IT HAS BEEN WELL LOOKED AFTER IN MY COLLECTION**.
A CLASSIC NORTHERN SOUL DANCER FROM BEN E KING 'CRY NO MORE' / '(THERE'S) NO PLACE TO HIDE' WHICH PLAYGRADES AT VERY GOOD PLUS PLUS. IT HAS A MINOR BIT OF STATIC KEEPING IT FROM PLAYGRADING AT EXCELLENT.
A SUPERB LISTEN.
IVE DECIDED TO SELL SOME OF MY SOUL/R&B/NORTHERN COLLECTION SIMPLY DUE TO RETIREMENT AND DOWNSIZING. ALL THE RECORDS COME FROM MY OWN COLLECTION AND AT LEAST SINCE I HAVE OWNED THEM THEY HAVE BEEN STORED UPRIGHT IN PROTECTIVE SLEEVES IN A SMOKE AND PET FREE ENVIRONMENT.
PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AT MY OTHER SINGLES/LPs FOR SALE.
THIS IS A LOVELY PLAYING COPY.
It has survived with only MINIMAL surface scuffing (not greatly affecting sound).
The LABELS ARE EXCELLENT with no writing or tears, theres the tiniest amount of sticker residue over the 'L' and 'A' of the word 'Atlantic' on side 'A' but its hard to see (see pics for exact condition).
The SINGLE ('A SIDE PLAYGRADED ONLY) PLAYGRADES AT VERY GOOD PLUS PLUS (VG++) condition and THIS 1ST UK RELEASE RARELY COMES UP FOR SALE.
IT IS SUPPLIED IN AN ORIGINAL UK ATLANTIC RECORDS COMPANY SLEEVE and a poly sleeve for extra protection.
This superb UK 1st pressing (or any other pressing) virtually never comes up for sale on Ebay in anything other than battered condition.
I grade strictly to the Rare Record Grading System and include a definition of grading below:
Rare Record Collector Grading: VG++ (VERY GOOD PLUS PLUS)
VG++: Description: The record shows some minor signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. May have the occasional hint of static or crackle but not affecting the music quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
