From my own vast private collection gathered over last 45+ years ...these mostly from 1973 - 1978 I had my own Record Store here in Northern California in the 1970's and 80's -and bringing in wonderfully vibrant and amazing Progressive Rock Imports was a top specialty and priority - I was (still am) so nuts about this music that I had 3 different evolving weekly Radio Programs dedicated to it over 20 years - and loved nothing more than turning folks on to these bands and immersing myself and my audience in these exotic sounds. Now it is finally time for me to pass them on - my hardest LPs to part with, some 8 boxes of which I shall be listing throughout this Spring. Many of the leading progenitors of the 1st progressive era, but quite a few more obscure but no less amazing artists of the period. . *Sadly I am NOT FAST at listing and can am lucky to get around 50 up at a time, but they will keep on coming (as I pause between series, to focus on top level packing and immediate shipping) so keep checking back.

Clean, bright semi-gloss cover has a few mild edge creases and very light marks around edges; one bumped corner. Daevid Allen Signature (as "Divided Alien") and message written on front. Seams and spine 100% intact with no wear or splits.

Re. the GIG POSTER, signature and message from Daevid on the cover: Daevid signed this for me at an in-store appearance at my record shop, before the concert I produced for him at the small intimate Studio Theatre in Carmel, California , August 19th, 1980. ...perfect venue for his current-at-the-time one man (with instruments, tapes and electronics) "Divided Alien Clockworks Solocycle" show. The house stage was already set for an ongoing English Dinner Play and was a spot-on backdrop, once he had added his special touches and set pieces.
I had recently seen GONG and NEW YORK GONG (primarily the players on this LP including Bill Laswell and Cliff Cultreri on 2nd guitar), who also played their own separate set as "MATERIAL" -one of their earliest ever performances - one of the few to feature the incredible Cliff Culteri (WHERE are you now!?) on guitar. ...hear him on Material's first vinyl release: 1979's "Temporary Music") perform at an amazing 1-time event in Los Angeles: "The Manifestival of Progressive Rock"  - and later that evening, Daevid Allen solo at a private party in Hollywood. There we discussed a concert up north which, at the small Carmel Studio Theatre, seating just over a hundred people, became a private, invitation only concert. No charge at the door ...just a passed hat that was very generously over-filled - and Daevid was ecstatic about the whole thing.
The Poster included here (8 1/2" x 11 1/2") is from a small one-time run of 150. They were never posted - only hand-delivered, or mailed, as invitations - and VERY few survive unfolded. I, as the artist, have added my hand signature at lower right corner by the printed credit. POSTER is MINT.
*This performance was filmed by Denise Gallant, SYNOPSIS VIDEO who also filmed The Manifestival including MAGMA and many others both Audio and Video tapes exist of both events, though never yet made publicly available.
After the performance we (Daevid, his lady Maggie, my girlfriend and I) went down the coast to my cabin in Big Sur for the night, stopping along the way to marvel at a gloriously rich "cheddar cheese" orange moon rising above the Pacific -near full moon - a perfect cap for a wonderful never-to-be-forgotten experience.
