Description
Offenbach
" Traversion "
Kebec-Disc KDL-963, 1979 original issue, 1st pressing Canada stereo
* This LP was re-issued the following year on CBS (WPFC-80089)
The first Offenbach LP following the departure of original members Pierre Harel, Roger (Wezo) Belval and Willie Lamothe, and with the band now featuring newcommers Breen Leboeuf, John McGale, Pierre Lavoie and part-timer Pierre Ringuet (Vos Voisins, Ovila).
Solid rock, blues-rock, guitar-rock and rock ballads (like the great power ballad "Mes Blues Passent Pu" with lead vocals by Breen Leboeuf).
A superb album that won the "Rock Album of the Year" in 1979.........but it was to be the one (and only) stint for drummer Lavoie, who was replaced with Bob Harrisson for all their subsequent recordings.
Gerry Boulet (vocals, synth, organ), Johnny Gravel (guitars), John McGale (lead & rhythm guitars), Breen LeBoeuf (bass, vocals), Pierre Lavoie (drums, percussion), Pierre Ringuet (drums), Richard Beaudet (sax)
Tracks:
Je l'sais ben...
Deaux autres bieres
Les eaux qui dorment
Mes blues passent pu dans'porte (Listen: HERE)
Je chante comme un cayote
Femme qui s'en va
