PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. A forever favorite here, comes the 1972 first press in crazy gimmix (custom) designed gatefold "window" cover sleeve. The sleeve is designed to be cut open as a tri-fold (3 panel) cover offering lots of photos and information. The music inside, even better if not legendary!
Pudding En Gisteren, (with English vocals) is the second (1972) album by this creative Dutch hippie crew...if you like early Soft Machine and not their overt jazz edge - the mighty Supersister incorporate magical memorable melodies woven within their highly adventurous mastery of fuzz organ, fuzz bass, whirling flute & tight complex rhythms. These guys had it ALL going for them with unique styles and amazing skills -- not to forget the irresistible infectious melodies crafted to perfection...
Although Dutch, these guys can out-Canterbury the original UK Canterbury bands! This is their third album and you could describe as a mix of a superior (early) Soft Machine meets Caravan. Not much guitar here, but the fuzzed up bass and distortion organ can equal a rockin' guitar and the passages with driving rhythms and instruments in overdrive are just as effective...The lead off track, "Radio" opens up with a wah-wah keyboard sound and is one of their greatest tracks -- potential star-bound quality, they released it as a single. Delivering great twists and turns before it switches to a more intense Canterbury sound.
"Psychopath" is some kind of baroque-prog - a cheerful and insane song that makes madness very attractive with funny lyrics and led by nice harpsichord. "Judy Goes On Holiday" begins with a modified organ imitating a racing car. Then it features great progressive rock moves with awesome whirling flute melody, sometimes doubled on organ. The bassline in this track is good too - complex moves with great drumming throughout. Eventually the opening section reprises. Another of the great tracks on this completely solid album!
With side one being on the path to greatness, side two pours on the topping with a 21-minute title track. So this highly memorable melody makes this flowing statement through skilled complex rhythmic structures, led of course, by the turned-on Hammond organ which leads the proceedings. Talking the stuff that makes the wheel cover by early Soft Machine (and Egg) so outstanding. Where Soft Machine strung 3 minutes songs together Supersister take the style and s-t-e-t-c-h it out, all "seriously" experimental with unpredictable creativity. Entering the mix as both whirling flute, and groovy vibraphone being very welcome additions that fit just right.Pudding En Gisteren is brilliant essential Canterbury styled prog album --superb, wild, insane, and all-in-all "mad." CONDITION: The cover: rated: "EX" (excellent) Very fragile (laminated) Dutch production with custom designed triple-fold out "window" cover made, without damages to the fragile wi8ndow cover. Thee window cover usually has rips or even complete tears to the fragile window area. This copy handled well. Most copies you see are later issuers (called originals) without the "window" cover.
