This is the UK 1st press of The Biggest Thing Since Colossus by Otis Spann. This is a rare stereo UK 1st Press on the Blue Horizon label, with the earliest A1//B1 matrix and the earliest laminated Quality Stationery sleeve.
The record is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl has a sensational high gloss, there are no signs of heavy play at all. There are just a few extremely light marks. The Blue Horizon label is extremely bold and bright with sharp text and it is exceptionally clean. There is just slight spindle wear.
On playing the sound is sensational, rich and vibrant. There is a little background hiss in places but the sound is extremely clear with superb separation throughout. There is no noise that spoils the enjoyment of this LP at any point, it still sounds superb.
The 1st press laminated Quality Stationery sleeve is in Excellent condition. The laminate has a glossy mirrored finish, the image is still very sharp and the colour is vibrant and unworn. There is just a little opening edge wear and slight laminate lift. There is also a little hardly noticeable tape on the bottom edge. The back of the sleeve is completely clean and clear and the spine is firm with clear text.
