These recordings of 3 sessions dating from the years 2018/ 2019 and recorded, mixed and produced at Clouds Hill Studios are released digitally and as a 3-LP vinyl box set. Part I features 8 songs, and Parts II and III 6 songs each, which have been entirely newly arranged, produced by Johann Scheerer, and performed by Omar Rodríguez-López and guest musicians.Only very few songwriters and arrangers have succeeded in leaving their mark on several generations with their compositions and their performances. Omar Rodríguez-López is one of these exceptional artists. Just hearing his name brings a shine to the eyes of aficionados of hard or virtuoso or cosmic music. This is someone who completely abandons himself to his art – and someone with an incredible amount of knowledge about the depth of possibility guitar music can explore.
During the 2000s Omar Rodríguez-López released an astonishing variety of solo works. On these recordings the artist used pieces that had accumulated over the years. However, what has so far been missing is a release that brings together the pieces from that era. This wait now has come to an end for here are THE CLOUDS HILL TAPES, Part I – III featuring 20 tracks that present his music in a new light.

Vinyl Preparation and Handling
All vinyl records are safely cleaned using Spin Clean Record Washer and stored in anti-static sleeves before offering for sale. Original sleeves, inserts, etc. are never discarded and always included if they are present. Records are removed from jacket to reduce wear during shipping. Vinyl and sleeves are separated, and package is wrapped securely and shipped in 15x13x1 cardboard box designed for shipping LPs. Shipping USPS Media Mail from a non-smoking household.
Mint (M) Factory sealed or otherwise perfect condition.
Near Mint (NM/M-) A nearly perfect record. The vinyl will play perfectly, with no imperfections during playback. The sleeve will have no creases, folds, seam splits, cut-out holes, or other noticeable similar defects.
Excellent (EX) A record that is almost Near Mint but may have a couple of light scuffs that do not affect play. The sleeve will almost be Near Mint but may have a very slight bend in the corner or show minor shelf wear and/or ring wear.
Very Good Plus (VG+) Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound may be present. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split and/or ring wear.
Very Good (VG) Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches that will affect the sound with pops or clicks. Sleeves will have more pronounced defects than VG+ and may be marred by writing or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached.
Good (G) Surface noise will be evident upon playing but will not overpower the music. Groove wear will be noticeable, as with scratches that will affect the sound with pops or clicks. Sleeves will have more pronounced defects than VG and may be affected by seam splits, tears, surface tears, or more significant tape or stickers attached.
