RARE Elvis LP on the HMV label.....
Rock 'n' Roll No. 2 (HMV CLP 1105).
Please email me if more pictures wanted (It has been photographed in it's plastic sleeve so glare is from that).
Anyway......I'll start with the (empty) sleeve.
Sleeve is missing the bit seen at the bottom and has been ripped from the top to the bottom bit (you can see in the picture at the right). Somebody put tape on it (it may come off, no stick) as they have around the edges (likewise, may come off if very careful).The back is ok (compared to the front) and only has a couple of small bits missing. Still bright colours and overall a presentable look to it, mainly intact!!!. No graffiti either. The record hasn't been inside the cover since I got it. I suppose this would grade as better than Fair. Or VG on the left 3/4s with Poor on the right 1/4 part (hope that makes sense).
Record has a "slight warp" (I think).
Side 1......G2 WP-7207-2N.
Rip it up (plenty of clicks, pops and "drag", jumps at the end)
Love me (better than above, jumps once, gets a lot better (EX!) halfway through)
When my blue moon turns to gold again (odd pop but actually VG at least)
Long tall Sally (sounds great, no jumps, VG - EX)
First in line (some pops, but not drastic, VG+)
Paralysed (Wish the first 2 tracks were like this, odd small pop.....VG)
Side 2.....G2 WP-7208-1N.
So glad you're mine (Noise before song but 3 small jumps, pops and drag)
Old Shep (drag, pops but no jumps)
Ready teddy (some pops at the beginning but not bad after that)
Any place is paradise (some crackle but not bad, but jumps at the end and then sticks between tracks and beginning of next track)
How's the world treating you (worst track, by far...deep scratch, so sticks badly)
How do you think I feel (odd pop at beginning but decent sound overall....VG)

Obviously, the remarks are factual but the attempted gradings are just my opinion, but I reckon that the record is between Fair and Good with the odd VG track.
According to Elvis UK, this is a second pressing (No NCB after Frank Music) and has the first sleeve (WRW bottom back right).
The labels are in lovely condition, no rips, tears or writing. Spindle marks not too bad on Side 1 but some wear on the label on Side 2.
Still a lovely record to own. Catalogues at £750 MINT, I wish!!
Value should be between £100 and £200, I think. Still a presentable space filler until you can get a better one (good luck) for £300 - £600.
I'm sure that somebody with the correct equipment to clean this properly would be able to greatly improve the sound!!
