Description
Great Star Wars collectible from the year it all started!
Here’s an original 12” vinyl LP w/ gatefold jacket for THE STORY of STAR WARS Soundtrack album originally released by 20th Century Fox Records (T-550) in 1977 and still includes the rare photo booklet. Co-Produced by George Lucas himself, this LP record crammed the action of the movie into around 50 minutes. The first side takes us up to the arrival at the Death Star, while the climax of the film stood up remarkably well without visuals on side two. The narration was surprisingly flowery at times like the introduction of Darth Vader as "a figure who moves forever in a cloud of awesome evil." Includes the rare 16-page booklet of color stills, arranged chronologically so you could turn the pages as the story advanced.
Vinyl condition is Excellent (E), record is bright and shiny and appears to have hardly ever been played, like new condition with only a few faint scuffs visible that do not impact play; label is clean and unmarked.
Gatefold Cover condition: Very Good Plus (VG+) cover is clean, some faint ring wear with a few small creases and scuffs visible, light wear on edges and spine and one lightly bent corner.
Booklet insert: All pages are intact and clean with only a minor crease mark on one corner page.
Photos show front and back of the record jacket, Side One of vinyl LP and a few pages of the booklet insert. Record will be shipped in LP mailer w/ cardboard protection.
