Description

PAUL WHITEMAN: King of Jazz, disc #2 (Columbia 4975). Here it is folks, Ultra RARE piece of history, 16 inch sound-on-disc transcription disc from 1930’s “King Of Jazz,” staring the Paul Whiteman Orchestra, released by Universal Pictures. The lable says "KING OF JAZZ SPECIAL," which I think means that it reflects the original cut of the film. The reel includes the hot version of "I Like to Do Things for You," danced byt the chorus, with brief solos by Frankie Trumbauer and Andy Secrest and the "My Bridal Veil" number. Heavy shellac, one sided. E condition: clean, slight surface wear, plays very well! Check my other auctions for more nice condition personality & dance band 78s! Overseas shipping charges are higher, of course. Good luck!
