Condizioni : la copertina nella zona vicina e sottostante all'angolo superiore destro mostra i seguenti difetti: anteriormente sono visibili alcune grinze lungo il bordo d'uscita del vinile, si osservi, per cortesia la foto n° 4, nel retro si possono notare delle macchioline brune e un'imperfetta rincollatura di una porzione della carta bianca subito sotto al bordo superiore sinistro, scansione n° 2. Il tutto probabilmente causato dal collocamento della copertina in un locale umido; bello stato, EX / vinile che presenta alcuni leggeri segni che non condizionano affatto il perfetto ascolto; grande stato, EX+

Condition : cover shows the following flaws in the area near and below the upper right corner: in the front are visible some creases along the trailing edge of the vinyl, please look to photo No. 4, in the back you can see some small brown spots and an imperfect regluing of a portion of the white paper just below the top left edge, scan No. 2. All this probably caused by placement of the cover in a humid room, EX / vinyl has some light scuffs which do not affect at all listening, EX+

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : gran bella colonna sonora ed anche una delle mie preferite. La collaborazione fra De Luca e Tommaso risulta qui essere particolarmente fruttuosa con brani di grande pregevolezza e che riescono ad inquadrare perfettamente le varie scene del film, tanto è vero che le persone che già l’hanno visto possono, in un certo senso, rivederlo semplicemente ascoltando la sua colonna sonora. A mio modesto avviso l'attrattiva maggiore della musica è da ricercarsi nell’audace ma ben riuscito accostamento e fusione della musica psichedelica con il folk Siciliano. Certamente il lato psichedelico resta predominante ma quando il sitar duetta con lo scacciapensieri o marranzano con sonorità che si combinano magnificamente fra loro e viene addirittura spontaneo in qualche caso domandarsi quale dei due strumenti stia suonando, significa che siamo di fronte a musica di bella personalità. Una breve passeggiata fra i brani: "In Due" (a1, vocal version, b2, strumentale). La prima, cantata in Italiano da Tony Raico, ha buone connotazioni rhythm & blues sia nell'accompagnamento della sezione fiati e nella stessa timbrica del cantante pur con qualche linea melodica. La versione strumentale è caratterizzata da belle improvvisazioni di Hammond con il basso a sostegno. "La Ragazza con la Pistola" (a3), bella musica psichedelica con il coinvolgimento della chitarra, del sitar, della batteria, intromissioni di voci maschili che cantando ripetono di tanto in tanto "Girl with gun" ed effetti sonori; il ritmo è elevato. "Ossessione Psichedelica" (a5) con sitar, scacciapensieri e reminiscenze di musica Orientale. "Rapimento in Sicilia" (a6) dalla bella atmosfera psichedelica riflessa nella presenza del sitar dai suoni "psych" decisi, notevole drumming e scacciapensieri, "Dall’Altra Sponda" (b5) con il coro dei Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni ben accompagnato dalla chitarra e dal basso che trasmettono rarefatte sensazioni psichedeliche. "Sitar e Violino" (b6) interessante fusione tra musica classica e suono psichedelico, "In Cerca di Lui" (b3) ha ritmo veloce e buon sapore funky con organo e batteria in bella mostra. "Shake Balera" (b8) è un esplosivo brano ballabile con improvvisazioni di Hammond ben sostenuto da chitarra, basso, batteria e dalla presenza di alcuni effetti sonori. Infine "Cip… Cip… Lu Me Giardinu" (b4), graziosissima ballata folk ben cantata da Monica Vitti in Siciliano mentre "Ma Chissà Chi è" (a2) e "My Little Love" (b1) contengono vari dialoghi dal film, in qualche caso con alcune sonorità in sottofondo.  

Notes : really great soundtrack and even one of my favorites. The collaboration between De Luca and Tommaso results here to be particularly fruitful with top-notch tracks that manage to perfectly frame the various scenes of the movie, so much so that people who already know it, can in some way see again simply by listening to its soundtrack. In my humble opinion, the main attractiveness of this music is to be found in an audacious but successful approach and the fusion of psychedelic music with Sicilian folk. Certainly the psychedelic side remains predominant but when the sitar plays in duet with the mouth harp or marranzano with sonorities beautifully combined each other, and in some cases it is spontaneous to wonder which of the two instruments is sounding, it means that we are facing a beautiful musical personality.  A short walk through the tracks: "In Due" (a1, vocal version, b2, instrumental). The first, sung by Tony Raico in Italian, has good rhythm & blues connotations both in the accompaniment of the brass section and in the same tone of the singer though with some melodic lines. The instrumental version is characterized by beautiful improvisations of Hammond with the bass in support. "La Ragazza con la Pistola" (a3) features beautiful psychedelic music with the involvement of the guitar, sitar, drums, sound effects and interference of male voices singing and repeating from time to time "Girl with gun". The rhythm is hectic. "Ossessione Psichedelica" (a5) with sitar, mouth harp and Oriental music reminiscences. "Rapimento in Sicilia" (a6) from the beautiful psychedelic atmosphere reflected in the presence of sitar by heavy psych sounds, remarkable drumming and mouth harp, "Dall’Altra Sponda" (b5) with the chorus of I Cantori Moderni di Alessandroni well accompanied by the guitar and the bass that convey rarefied psychedelic sensations. "Sitar e Violino" (b6) interesting fusion of classical music and psychedelic sounds, "In Cerca di Lui" (b3) has fast rhythm and good funky flavor with organ and drums on the foreground. "Shake Balera" (b8) is an exciting dance tune with improvisations by Hammond well supported by guitar, bass, drums and the presence of some sound effects. Finally, “Cip… Cip… Lu Me Giardinu” (b4), lovely folk ballad well sung by Monica Vitti in Sicilian while"Ma Chissà Chi è" (a2) and "My Little Love" (b1) contain various dialogues from the movie, at times with some sonorities in the background.
