Description
I have had this record since it was released back in 1967 the recording took place at central sound studios Denmark Street, London , central sound was a couple of doors up from my office at the time at No 6 Denmark street,
the voice of PETE DELLO, SINGING THE A and B side of the record, his was the only voice on the record and he did a fantastic job , the singer who was supposed to make the record Gavin Hamilton became ill on the day of the recording ,
The Musical director NICKY WALSH knew PETE and called him in to record the songs as all the session musicians had been booked for the day, I was the producer of the record and the co-writer of both songs, I paid all the costs of making the record and of course Pete’s Fee,
Phil Soloman of King Records decided to release the record using the the original singers name, I also paid Phil Soloman to have the record played on radio Caroline .
I have always been a admirer of Pete Dello and have most of his recordings with HONEYBUS and his LP into your ears, how it did not sell in large numbers at the time surprises me,
The record does have some visible scratches but in my opinion does not effect the sound quality,
THANK YOU FOR LOOKING, NICK SANDYS.
