THE HERD THE FONTANA YEARS - DOUBLE LP LIMITED EDITION SET WITH 32 TRACKS - When bubble gum mod band The Herd began topping the charts in 1967 (first with "From The Underworld" and then the following year with "Paradise Lost" and "I Don't Want Our Loving To Die"), its lead singer and guitarist was only 17 years old. His name was Peter Frampton. Frampton went on to leave the band soon after to form Humble Pie with fellow mod, Steve Marriott, and eventually on to global super stardom. This double LP collects all the greatest hits, B-sides etc. that originally appeared on the label Fontana.

 HUMBLE PIE - FILLMORE - Recorded by Eddie Kramer while Peter Frampton was still in the band, Rockin’ The Fillmore captures an early performance by Humble Pie where Steve Marriot’s lyricism and ideas were balanced by Frampton’s searing lead guitar. This is a document of a band at a pivotal point in their existence, this is valuable and at times insightful. Another part of the Classic Fillmore East performances highlighted by Classic Records and transferred from the Kramer analog masters on the Bernie Grundman all-tube cutting system.

The Latest Release from Legendary Musician Peter Frampton!

Hummingbird In A Box, the latest work from legendary musician Peter Frampton. The new music was inspired by the Cincinnati Ballet, featuring seven original guitar pieces in Frampton's virtuosic stylings. Frampton composed all songs on the seven-track mini-album along with Gordon Kennedy, who also co-produced the recording. The two previously teamed up for Fingerprints, which garnered them both a Grammy award for Best Pop Instrumental Album.

The music debuted in April 2013 at Cincinnati’s Aronoff Center for the Arts. Two of the Cincinnati Ballet’s spring production’s segments were choreographed to existing Frampton music—with Frampton and his band performing live—while a third section featured the new composition by Frampton and Kennedy. Of the project Frampton notes, “Writing for dance was a wonderfully freeing experience. There were no boundaries. We were able to push the composing envelope,” and Kennedy furthers, “Songwriters and musicians create music to move people. This was beautiful, graceful, and instantly gratifying!”  

Peter Frampton is one of the most celebrated artists and guitarists in rock history. At 16, he was lead singer and guitarist for the British band, The Herd. At 18, he co-founded one of the first super groups, seminal rock act Humble Pie. His session work includes collaborations with such legendary artists as George Harrison, Harry Nilsson, David Bowie, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ringo Starr, John Entwistle and many others. His fifth solo album, The Electrifying Frampton comes Alive!, is one of the top-selling live records of all time.

Peter Frampton - Thank You Mr. Churchill LIMITED EDITION DOUBLE LP SET

Thank You Mr. Churchill takes Peter Frampton back to the beginning. Literally. "This album is very autobiographical. It starts with my birth, in which I thank Mr. Churchill for bringing my father back from the Second World War," says Frampton of his new set. "I woke up one morning and I wondered what would have happened if Winston Churchill hadn't been at the helm and the British and the Allies had not won. Would my dad have not come back? Would I be here? Probably not." Thank You Mr. Churchill is Frampton's first collection since his innovative Grammy-winning instrumental album, Fingerprints. "Since Fingerprints, it's been a very creative period for me," he says. "I wrote over 50 songs between Fingerprints and choosing what will be the 11 on the record. Awards aren't supposed to enhance one's creative juices, but they don't hurt. With the Grammy I feel validated as the musician that I always felt I've been." ThroughoutThank You Mr. Churchill, Frampton's guitar playing is sharp and expressive. Over the course of his 40-plus year career, including his co-formation of super group Humble Pie, Frampton has realized that success isn't measured in how many albums you sell or how many concert tickets people buy (although in his case, the answer is in the millions), but by an internal barometer.
