PETER NERO - SOULFUL STRUT / FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE [COLUMBIA WLP 44846]
Label: Columbia White Label Promo 44846 Titles: "Soulful Strut" & "For Once In My Life" Year: 1969
Originally released in 1968 as a vocal track titled "Am I The Same Girl" by Barbara Acklin, Young Holt Unlimited gave the song new exposure as an instrumental entitled "Soulful Strut." The song became a smash hit and was covered by instrumentalists across the board. 1969 saw the release of the single by pianist and composer Peter Nero. The flip side is a piano driven version of "For Once In My Life" as made popular by Stevie Wonder. The track is primarily instrumental, however the chorus is sung by female musicians.
The label has very minimal label wear on either side. There is no writing, stickers or tears on either side's label. The vinyl has very minimal signs of playwear and still maintains a nice gloss. You can listen to the actual record here.

All records come with basic sleeves unless a factory or picture sleeve is indicated in the description. I do not use a grading system as I feel that everyone interprets it differently. For example, I see many records listed as being Near Mint, yet the label is torn or has writing on it. To me that is not near mint. I prefer to describe the record as best I can, post photos, and allow viewers to listen to the actual record as to determine for themselves how the record should be graded.
I ship using Media Mail at $3.00 and deliver the day of or after the payment is received. Please remember that shipping costs also include the cost of materials to ship the order. International shipping is available. The cost to ship this Internationally is $20.00. I will also combine shipping. I try to keep shipping costs as low as possible, however recent increases by USPS have affected what I charge to ship - and believe me, I am NOT happy about it.
I am happy to ship internationally, however I will not change the value of the record. There are many reasons for this. First, I enjoy selling records and do not want to jeopardize that. Second, I include a receipt with the order and if customs were to examine the package, they would see the difference. Third, if something were to happen to the item in shipping, I would refund the customers money, but then not be able to claim what was lost. Thanks you for understanding.
