Almost impossible to find as only 500/600 were ever pressed before it was discontinued and replaced with the normal Black vinyl

Red vinyl: Nearly all original album releases on Odeon Records, from The Piper at the Gates of Dawn through Meddle, were released in very limited editions on red vinyl (it is generally accepted that only 500-600 copies of each of these albums were pressed on red vinyl). These dark red vinyl releases were pressings on Everclean vinyl, a higher quality of vinyl that was developed and patented by Toshiba Musical Industries in 1957. Everclean vinyl is much more static resistant and dust resistant than regular black vinyl. However, Everclean pressings wear out much faster than black vinyl pressings since the vinyl is softer, so record groove sound quality may be degraded even though the records still looks mint.
At the time they were made, red vinyl pressings were not intended as collector items, and both red vinyl and black vinyl pressings were priced the same. The final Japanese red vinyl pressings were made in April 1974. Each entry in the discography for Odeon releases indicate whether a particular album pressing was released on red vinyl

This album is an original pressing from the same time the album was released in the U.K.as described in the Pink Floyd
Japanese LP Discography archives.above.

It is not a copy, or repress or bootleg, this album is one of the first red pressings that went on sale in Japan in 1970.

If the winning bidder is not happy with the authenticity of this album and shows that it is not the actual pressing described here, then it may be returned for a full refund.

I offer this because I know this album is one of the first 500/600 pressings of the small limited editoin in red vinyl before going into producing the album in black vinyl.

OUTER SLEVE.

Very thick card outer sleeve, in very good + condition with just some slight ageing around the edge that is hardly noticeable, the thick spine of the outer sleeve remains fully readable and clean, undamaged.

Vinyl Condition:

Both sides of the vinyl are visually EXCELLENT with a very high gloss sine on them (See Pictures)

PLAY GRADING.

The entire album plays beautifully, a definite difference in quality from our UK pressings.

The Black labels show that this album has been played on only three / four occasions.

This album was play graded using a Technics SL2000 deck with a Stanton 500 cartridge, set with very little pressure.

I grade this complete package as excellent, and very rare,

This superb pressing is for the true collector of Floyd Music and no collection should be without this pressing, remember only 500 / 600 were ever pressed, and this is one of the 1st pressings.
