PINK FLOYD

'DARK SIDE OF THE MOON' LP

ULTRA RARE QUADRAPHONIC VERSION (which was released without any inserts)

ORIGINAL UK 1st PRESSING IN EXCELLENT CONDITION

NO RESERVE

1973 UK 12" album release HARVEST (Q4 SHVL 804) 33.3 rpm QUADRAPHONIC

Matrices: QHVL 804 A-2/QHVL 804 B-1

TRACK LISTING: SIDE ONE 1. Speak To Me 2. Breathe 3. On The Run 4. Time 5. The Great Gig In The Sky SIDE TWO 1. Money 2. Us And Them 3. Any Colour You Like 4. Brain Damage 5. Eclipse

CONDITION: VINYL EXCELLENT+ Clean and bright with just a few light marks. There is some occasional very light surface noise but for the most part the sound reproduction of this amazing quadraphonic mix is absolutely excellent. LABELS EXCELLENT+++ Some minor spindle marks when viewed under good light, but otherwise clean and almost as new. INNER SLEEVE EXCELLENT Original EMI Quadraphonic cut cornered polylined paper inner sleeve. Clean but the glue holding the polythene inner bag has left some staining. The record is now housed in a new polylined paper sleeve. SLEEVE EXCELLENT- The original non-laminated gatefold sleeve has a single opening as this Quadraphonic version of the album was NOT released with the posters or postcards found with the usual stereo copies. The Quad logo in the bottom right of the front cover is part of the artwork rather than a sticker. There are some signs of wear and tear along the edges of the sleeve and to the corners, with some clear ringwear on the top left of the rear cover, but overall the sleeve is clean and unmarked: there are no folds, tears or stains, nor any handwriting, and the spine is intact. The spectrum colours are bright and unfaded.

EVEN WITHOUT A QUADRAPHONIC SYSTEM, THE DIFFERENT MIX OF THIS CLASSIC ALBUM IS OBVIOUS. THIS IS NOT A MINT CONDITION AUDIOPHILES-ONLY COPY, BUT IT IS IN FANTASTIC CONDITION FOR THOSE OF US NOT PLANNING TO PLAY IT ON A £40,000 SYSTEM IN AN AIRTIGHT SOUND-PROOFED CELL.

A MUST FOR ALL SERIOUS FLOYD FANS.

ABOUT ME: If you haven't done business with me before my name is Andy Hibberd and I own a "bricks and mortar" secondhand record shop called 101 COLLECTORS RECORDS in Farnham, Surrey, about one hour out of central London. I deal in old and collectable vinyl, CDs, DVDs and memorabilia in all musical genres, as well as new releases and re-issues. Please feel free to get in touch if you need any further information about this item, if you have any questions about what's currently in stock, or if you have a collection for sale and need some advice.

All photographs are of the actual item offered for sale: I never use 'stock' pictures or re-use old photos of previously sold stock.

All items are listed for 10 days, running from Thursdays to Sundays. If you wish to leave a message, or ask a question, please try to do so before the last Sunday as I tend not to be chained to my laptop on my one day of the week off. Also, I always let my auctions run their full course, so please do not contact me asking if the item can be sold early. Live a little, enjoy the thrill of bidding.

Payment may only be made in UK £ Sterling: I accept PayPal, UK personal cheques (with bank guarantee card details), most credit/debit cards or good old-fashioned cash. On slow days feathers, beads and coloured glass baubles may also be considered...

I am always happy to receive any wants-lists, but file them carefully on little bits of paper under slightly larger bits of paper that aren't always quite where they should be. I will guarantee to find what you want within minutes of you a) finding it elsewhere, b) deciding you can live without Venezuelan Death Metal after all, or c) losing the will to live.

Despite that, all my vinyl is strictly graded using the Record Collector RRPG system, and all goods are properly protected and posted in strong, new Covers 33 packaging. Please recycle the packing cardboard if possible - it might just offset the damage done when the item was originally manufactured. Alternatively, throw it away and set fire to a couple of tyres.

If you are bidding, please read all descriptions fully and take the time to read my Postage and Packaging costs and my Returns Policy. Items selling for under £30 will be posted Royal Mail First Class in the UK, or by Airmail to destinations abroad. Items selling for £30 or above will only be posted by the Special Delivery Next Day service in the UK, which will include insurance. For similarily priced items selling to customers abroad I will only use the International Signed For service, which will also include insurance equal to the selling price. Certificates of Posting are obtained for all dispatched items without exception.

Please read my Feedback comments and look at my past sales: I am not an anonymous internet seller but a responsible and contactable UK record dealer. You can bid with confidence.
