Item:

Original & complete 1st UK press of Pink Floyd - The Dark Side if the Moon LP from March, 1973. Solid blue 1st press labels. 1st press sleeve black sleeve version 3 that has the right front opening of the gatefold cover that is not sealed. This sleeve also has the large round purple title sticker on the front which is the 1st version 68mm larger sticker before being reduced in size for later pressings. The set is complete with all inserts - both posters, both postcard stickers and the original black poly-lined inner sleeve. The two postcard stickers are 1st press version 1 with 'Crackback' on the back and the black die-cut inner has the patent numbers and 'MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN' printed on as-per 1st press sets. All parts are original.

Condition:

Beautiful condition. The vinyl is glossy and clean with a deep-sheen throughout. There are no no marks or scratches visible in both good natural daylight and also when viewed under strong direct halogen spotlight. Under spotlight the most that can be seen are a small amount of short light hairlines, NEAR MINT! The playback grades EXCELLENT PLUS, only the faintest surface noise during the long quiet 'heartbeat' intro. No loud obtrusive pops or repeat clicks and clearly no sticks or skips. This is a great player and it is rare to find a 1st press DSotM as such. No factory skip on track B1 'Money' as is the case with some A2B2 1st presses. The 1st press sleeve with large purple sticker grades EXCELLENT PLUS! with only light signs of handling/storage, very nice indeed! Both posters have no tears, folds, tape marks or pin holes NEAR MINT! Both postcard stickers are clean and unused NEAR MINT! The black poly-lined inner has no splits, the lining is fully intact and is uncreased, EXCELLENT! A superb condition, complete 1st UK press set.
