This is a genuine first press of the The Wall.  The bible of all things Pink Floyd - pinkfloydarchives.com - has it as No 15 on their 'matrix list'.

The vinyls look unplayed and are in sublime condition, I have not seen better.  Under a bright light I cannot detect any hairlines across all four sides.  For 35 years old they have to be seen to be believed and both retain that glossy sheen of new vinyl and the audio quality is amazing.  I cannot stress just how good these vinyls are and they should command a lot of interest from the true fan.  I grade honestly as my feedback testifies and both vinyls are of stunning, superior quality - so rare for a first press.

Side One plays as Mint and I have never heard better.  There is no crackle, background noise, skips or jumps at all.  Absolutely stunning.

Side Two again plays practically as new.  I heard just one small pop!  On this side there are many quiet sections and they sound nigh on perfect with no background noise at all.  

Side Three plays superbly again, just one quiet pop during 'Hey You'.  Other than that near perfect.

Side Four plays 'as new' - simply stunning

As you can see from my summary this first press is in sublime condition.  I honestly have not heard better.  New vinyl often has imperfections but this copy of The Wall is as near to Mint as you will find.  The lack of background noise is amazing and I cannot believe this is 35 years old.  The discerning Floyd fan would be immensely happy to have this in their collection!

The cream gatefold cover (with misaligned bricks as per the early presses) is in near perfect condition.  The edging and corners are in superb condition with no wear and it retains a very clean strong wide spine.  If I'm honest it is almost 'as new' - perhaps just slight  discolouration towards the bottom and the smallest hint of a crease in the top right hand corner but you will be hard pressed to find a better one.  The inside (no band credits as per a first press) is also in stunning condition, again 'as new'.

The lyric sleeves are in near perfect condition.  They do of course have the rounded corners with the 9 inch thumb notches.  The first inner does have the merest hint of wear at the bottom but you really hardly notice it.  Other than that - perfection!

Not all first presses included the transparent sticker.  This one did!  It is in excellent condition with just a crease running through it.  No rips or tears at all.

An amazing first press that should command a lot of interest and would grace any collection.
