Pink Floyd : The Dark Side Of The Moon Final Cut A-3 / B-2 2nd Press + Posters & Stickers
This second pressing plays with stunning quality and hardly any intrusion, the clarity and depth and power of the audio is so impressive. There are no clicks or pops, barely any static, and the only 'real' background is a couple of ticks on 'Us And Them'. The playback is so clean and the classic 'Great Gig...' is one of the most stunning versions I have ever listened to. Perhaps not quiet a final upgrade but not far from it! The vinyl is visually stunning also and has clearly not been played very much based on the audio and that there is barely any spindle wear.
The iconic cover has some shelf wear but not an excessive amount, it is mainly restricted to the bottom edges, a small mark and some ringwear on the back. The original posters are in superb condition and the two original stickers just have some creasing. The black inner is unmarked and has only very minimal creasing.

Visual description
The vinyl is in superb condition and still has a lovely glossy sheen with no marks or scratches. Under a bright light I can only detect a small number of very faint hairlines and there is nothing that stands out. It has to be the finest A3/B2 pressing I have seen! There is no groove or surface wear and the labels are so clean with hardly any spindle wear on s1 and only a little more on S2, still minimal.
Play grading
The heartbeat intro on 'Speak To Me' for once plays with stunning clarity with only a small number of very quiet statics, it is as close to perfect as is possible. As it builds the audio is so strong and deep and the 'spoken' section / Torry 'climax' is perfect. Near Mint is fair.
The segue into 'Breathe' is faultless and the opening section has only a small number of the lightest ticks imaginable. Your ear has to be right up against the speaker to hear them! The rest of the intro has no background and Gilmour's opening vocal section is equal to that. It continues to play with incredible depth and warmth and the second verse is just as strong. Near Mint
'On The Run' plays with exceptional quality from the get go. A couple of minor statics on the opening section no more. You can hear every footstep and breath so clearly and the clarity, depth and resonance is sensational. The crash at the end is stunning with no distortion. The running man section has no interference just one mega quiet tick, the overall clarity is again so impressive. Mint-
The clocks intro on 'Time' is 'as new' and the metronome section has only 3/4 minor statics at the beginning. From then on it plays so clearly with that by now familiar depth and warmth. The first verse from Gilmour followed by Wright's chorus can also be described 'as new' and then Gilmour's mid solo is of the highest standard possible. There is no distortion and the final verse / chorus have no background either. The intro is Near Mint and the remainder Mint
'Breathe Reprise' plays with stunning precision through every section and Mint is again deserved. Even the fade out plays perfectly.
The gentle piano intro on '...Great Gig...' has no intrusion (how rare is that!) and the first 'spoken' section is just as clean. Torry's opening vocal is so strong and powerful and the audio definition is out of this world! There is no distortion and as the volume decreases the audio is flawless. The quiet piano / soft vocal section plays with stunning clarity and this standard is kept up to the very end. This end section is of course so quiet and there is no interference at all, only a couple of very minor statics, and it is without doubt one of the finest examples I have heard. It has to grade as Mint- and wow what a version!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The iconic intro on 'Money' plays with perfect clarity and the first two verses the same. For fear of repeating myself, the sheer depth of the audio and the clean clinical sound are the stand out features. The instrumental section starting with the sax solo plays with stunning precision - this entire section just has to be played loud and Gilmour's first solo in particular is so powerful and dynamic. Waters' deep bass adds so much to the sonic 'landscape' and the final vocal / spoken section completes this classic with no intrusion. This is a sublime Mint version including the long fade out.
The quiet intro on 'Us And Them' plays beautifully with only a couple of barely audible dust ticks. It proceeds in the same way with a rare clarity and warmth - this section is so often affected by static (or worse!) but there are only a couple of minor light background ticks here - so so quiet! The opening vocal keeps up this fine standard and the first chorus is flawless, dripping with power and emotion. There are two ticks right after which are a little more obvious but from then on there is nothing intrusive, just a handful of very faint statics in the next verse. The following chorus is perfect and the remainder plays with stunning accuracy. The high octane section near the end is phenomenal! Near Mint is about right.
'Any Colour You Like' plays with high end audio and barely any intrusion. There is just a hint of distortion at the beginning of Gilmour's mid solo for 3/4 seconds, a minor issue only. There are no ticks, clicks etc and the sonic quality is very impressive. Near Mint
The intro and Waters' opening vocal on 'Brain Damage' have no interference, there is just one barely audible static. As the volume increases the power and depth of the audio is outstanding! The production values are so highly regarded on the first / early pressings and you can see why listening to this! It continues to play with impeccable quality and there is no distortion on the top end. The clarity is incredible even during the spoken section towards the end. I am going to say Mint- although the minus is probably not necessary!
The segue into 'Eclipse' is perfect and the opening vocal is just as strong. As it progresses there is maybe a minimal amount of inner groove distortion but it is not intrusive, it is still a very clean version of this classic. You can still play it loud! I am probably being too critical as it is a common feature here anyway and like I say it is only very minimal, the sonic quality is still very impressive. The heartbeat ending has only a couple of light ticks and hardly any static, the playback is very clean. Near Mint- is a fair assessment of the audio. A stunning album overall!
The Gatefold, Posters & Stickers & Inner Sleeve
The cover has been looked after quite well and does not too much shelf wear. The top edges have hardly any rubbing but there is more on the bottom edges but no actual damage. The spine has only minimal wear plus a little wear on the corners - the most obvious is on the two bottom right corners. The opening edges have only a little handling wear. The front cover is in excellent shape with hardly any fading / spotting and one small faint sticker removal mark top right. The back cover has a little ringwear, one small 'rub' area and some rubbing near the bottom edge. The inside of the gatefold is superb with barely any marking. Not perfect but a strong example nonetheless.
The two matt posters are in superb condition with no marking or pin holes in the corners. The band one just has one tiny 'nick' in the bottom right corner. The two Crack Back stickers have a little creasing and the 'brown' one has a small faint mark on the reverse. The original inner in excellent condition with no side splits or tears, no marking and only a little creasing.

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Many thanks.
All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
