Description
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. USA - Jubilee ?– JGS 8031
This came from the library of an underground rock radio station (as noted on back cover)
Very rare 1970 original textured cover first pressinng on the Jubilee label just as they went of of business. This records release was cut (real) short, hence the scarcity!
Actually recorded in 1969, this is an interesting artifact of the early days of Emmy Lou Harris, from the Woodstock era when she was an unknown hippie singer/songwriter. This rare first album is particularly noteworthy for the number of songs she wrote herself. Features five songs(!) written by Emmylou, including the title track, which was written by her then-husband, Tom Slocum, and a few cover tunes, including Fred Neil's "Everybody's Talkin' At Me," Bob Dylan's "I'll Be Your Baby Tonight" and an okay version of Hank Williams' "I Saw The Light." Worth checking out, and by the way, word has it Emmylou more or less disavows this album, though it's neat to hear what she was up to a few years before she really stepped into the spotlight
A:
I'll Be Your Baby Tonight (Bob Dylan)
Fugue For The Ox (Emmy Lou Harris)
I Saw The Light (Hank Williams)
Clocks (Emmy Lou Harris)
Black Gypsy (Emmy Lou Harris)
B: Gliding Bird (Tom Slocum)
Everybody's Talkin' (Fred Neil)
Bobbie's Gone (Emmy Lou Harris)
I'll Never Fall In Love Again (Burt Bacharach, Hal David)
Waltz Of The Magic Man (Emmy Lou Harris)
CONDITION: The cover: Rated: VG+ light wear as expected from this fragile 50 years ago cover. Still a collectible copy, upgrade needs would only be for mint collectors. The vinyl: Rated: very clean VG++ hardly any visuals besides the clean shiny sides and overall played very (M- audio) enjoyable here - and should for you as well. Both Jubilee labels are in solid shape, no writing or dirt/soil
