Description
This is the original edition of PiL's seminal masterpiece 'Metal Box'. Issued in 1979 on Virgin Records, as 3x12" records packaged in a film style can playing at 45rpm, cat# METAL 1. One of only 50,000 copies, complete with original A5 insert and paper dividers.
The condition of the records is EX+ at times bordering on near-mint. Side F has few faint marks from having being removed from the tin, but every other side looks to be in superb condition. Very little evidence of play. The label of side A is slightly 'bobbled' (see pic), but still sits perfectly flat on the turntable.
The box/tin has aged as expected, has the original 'METAL 1' label on the back and has a couple of labels on the front which I'd prefer to let the buyer remove. Please see pictures for a more accurate description of the condition.
