Pacific Marie Thérèse Fourneau plays Debussy Faure Ravel Piano
Pacific L.D.P. F 168 Artistique
Marie Thérèse Fourneau plays Debussy La terasse des audiences and Du clair de lune. Ravel Sonatine. Fauré Suite Bergamarque.
Very rare original french edition. Sleeve in beautiful excelent condition, only a small piece missing in the corner (see photo). Included is an excelent original and rare insert with program notes and a artist biography in french. The labels have only light spindle marks and a small sticker each.
We have played the record throughout on several turntables. The record looks excelent with only slight marks. It plays very fine, but does have some ticks. Because of the value all defects are mentioned below. All in, I would grade the record VG+
Side 1 (debussy) has a scuff at start of track 2, that may give 12 very soft ticks. Track 3 has a number of small spots that give ticks. I counted 12 soft ticks, 8 ticks and 4 very soft tickc. This side has low background noise and no distortion on the piano, when played with a rega elys cartridge. Playing with a clearaudio concerto resulted in some more surface noise.
Side 2 (Faure & Ravel): in track 1 is a pressing fault: a line gives 15 very soft ticks. In track 2 is a 5 mm spot, resulting in 17 soft and 4 louder ticks. In track 4 are 5 soft ticks.
It is very hard to find a copy of this rare record. Finding NM french records is even more impossible. So despite it small defects this is still a very enjoyable copy for any collection!

Grading:
- M: never used. I don't use this grade unless the record is sealed
- NM: No visible or audible faults
- EX: Record has clearly been used, but has no major audible faults, some non sounding marks possible, maybe some dirt or light surface noise (especially on older mono record, surface noise is quite normal).
- VG: Light audible faults, ticks or surface noise
- G: scratches, etc. I don't sell record in this condition, unless they are very special and collectible.
