Pink Floyd - Animals
I am pleased to offer for sale this exceptional 'day of release' example of Pink Floyd's tenth studio album: Animals.
As is shown below, the album features all the signs of a true UK first pressing. The exceptionally rare wide spine sleeve is in fantastic condition, without any signs of 'squashing' and the audio playback from the vinyl is simply superb. This will be a fantastic addition to any collection.

The matrix numbers inform us that the vinyl is a true UK first pressing. The mother & stamper codes suggest that the record was produced early in the production run. Consequently, the audio reproduction is fantastic! Take a listen yourself below.
The labels are the first variant which feature panoramic pictures.
The sleeve is the first variant without a barcode and with a wide spine.
Completing the album is the original card lyric inner sleeve, with a notch to the top edge and with four rounded corners.

Vinyl: EXCELLENT
Labels: EXCELLENT +
The labels are bright, clean and without writing. One or two spindle marks can be seen to both labels.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
The record retains superb deep-gloss playing surfaces. In bright daylight there only a single light surface mark can be seen to either side. Neither are feelable. Under the glare of a halogen desk lamp wispy light paper hairline marks can be seen alongside an iridescent rainbow sheen.
Sound Quality: EXCELLENT -
Please use the eBay internet site to enjoy the audio clips. The eBay app does not facilitate playback.

As can be heard in the audio clips, the vinyl sounds simply fantastic. Some subtle static can be heard during both lead ins and quieter sections - which is slightly more pronounced on side 2. This never distracts from the audio, however. There is great channel separation, superb clarity and exceptional dynamism. A really nice copy.
Sleeve: EXCELLENT +
The sleeve looks superb! All four sides are clean and retain bright vibrant colours. The spine and all 6 edges are without wear. The corners are sharp - mild rubbing is visible to the bottom left hand corner. It is very difficult to find a sleeve in better condition than this.
Inner Sleeve: EXCELLENT +
The original inner sleeve looks great. If not for a couple of tiny scuffs to the edges it would be mint.
Additional Details:
Before the audio test, the vinyl was cleaned first by an Okki Nokki vacuum cleaner (using L'art du Son cleaning solution), then an Audio Desk ultrasonic cleaner is performed before a final rinse with distilled water.
After cleaning, the vinyl is housed inside a brand new mobile fidelity anti-static inner sleeve.
The vinyl will be packaged outside of the sleeve, both of which are stored inside an archival quality polypropylene outer sleeve.
The record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
