Pink Floyd 'Dark Side Of The Moon' Vinyl LP Rare Second Issue A3/B2 'Gramophone' VG+/VG

This is a rare and interesting copy of 'Dark Side Of The Moon'. This is known as the 'Second Issue' pressing and was made for a very short time somewhere between the first pressing (solid triangle) and the first repress (first proper second pressing). It is in many ways a first pressing record with a 'new' label. These labels however are interesting in that they still have 'The Gramophone Co.' on the rim text.

This is a correct A3/B2 pressing with the original sleeve (centred 'IE 064.....) in a very dark blue. Glued to the left leaf - open to the right.

The vinyl is in very clean condition. There are some faint marks and hairlines just visible in good light but this plays very well indeed and is not far off being and excellent copy. It is definitely a VG+ for vinyl. The sleeve does have some surface wear, corner creasing and is missing the posters and stickers, but is intact and is in very presentable condition with no damage or writing.

Definitely a great record for the collector, a rare pressing that plays very well indeed.

Please see the following grading guidelines which I use to grade all media:  Items will be described in the following order: Media/Cover (i.e. VG/G+)

MINT:  The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

CD's are similarly graded though the Jewel case is disregarded in grading. The grading applies to the media and the insert. Cassettes will simply be described in their playing condition and are all tested.

Thanks all
